The purpose of the Prayer Shawl Ministry is to help those who are ill, grieving or dealing with difficult times by offering them our love and warmth through the shawls we make. Every shawl is knitted not only with wool but with prayers, love, compassion and continual intention of the knitter. Shawls are blessed before they are given away.

If you like to knit and feel called to this prayerful ministry as a spiritual practice, come along any Thursday morning, as new members are always welcome.

Prayer Shawl Ministry group meets Thursday mornings (except in summer months), 10 am - 12 pm in the Lower Classroom at the Murrayville site.

During the pandemic of 2020, they knitted at home on Thursday mornings, using prayers given by the group coordinator, Rev. Gabrielle Suedfeld.

New and old knitters are welcome!

Please email the church office for more information.
