Ride for Refuge:

October 1, 2016

On Saturday, October 1, Sources Foundation will be joining thousands of other riders, walkers and volunteers across Canada and the USA to help raise $2,500,000 for the most marginalized people in our world.

Many of those marginalized people can be found right in our community of Langley.  Each week, more than 600 people come to Sources Langley Food Bank for support. The volunteers provide each person with two days' worth of nutritious food; they also distribute household and personal items, such as diapers and formula for babies, fresh produce in the summer, school supplies and snacks for school lunches. Since Sources opened its doors in Langley less than two years ago, they have seen the number of users of their services more than double and demand continues to grow. Sources Langley Food Bank receives no government funding and relies completely on financial support from the community.

The Sources Langley Food Bank team is doing its part in addressing poverty and hunger every week, but they need help of the whole community to do MORE!

Join Sources to RIDE and fundraise $5,000 for Sources Langley Food Bank!

Ride for Refuge is a fun, family-friendly bicycling or walking fundraiser. The Ride for Refuge in our community will be held in Fort Langley and the Sources team, “The Sources Hungry Pedallers” are cycling or walking to raise funds that will go directly towards the Sources Langley Food Bank.
