This week’s worship service is an opportunity to welcome new friends and old into the family of Jesus' followers. Through baptism, Jesus himself and those who follow in his footsteps have been held in care of community, and all involved commit to supporting one another in our faith development and discipleship. What a joy, to revisit scriptural instances of baptism, our own baptism, family, faith, and church traditions, and have the privilege to witness declarations of faith formation and promises to love and uphold one another through Jesus, prayer and service.
Witness new friends joining the fold by becoming members or transferring their membership. Join us on January 21 and be a part of this once-in-a-lifetime commitment from family and friends, as well as those baptized, and open your hearts once more to the community, Christ, and our church!
