We thank Jesus for his sacrifice as we remember him at our communion tables – but what sacrifices go unthanked and unremarked upon? And did Jesus need to die for, or was the machine of empire to blame? This week we revisit the sacrifice demanded by empire, those who face its violence, and what part we can have in repair for those we sacrifice.
