The Interplay of Trauma, Compassion and Fatigue

This service begins a 3-part series intended to bring nourishment to your mind, body and spirit. Through reflecting on Nan Merrill’s poetic translation of the Psalms and partaking of the living water of music delights, we allow ourselves to open up to our hurts and trauma - individually and collectively.

We have lived through challenging times and can find comfort and support from the Psalms as we recognize the effects of continued trauma and honour the level of fatigue we are experiencing from these 16 months. We have heard you. You are tired and worn. God has heard your cry. As we nurture ourselves, we can become a nurturing presence for others as we journey toward gathering together in new ways.
