This Sunday, we read in the book of Isaiah that as the people have returned to Jerusalem from exile in Babylon, they are unsure of themselves; they don’t know what the future holds. They wonder, as we do sometimes, “what happens next?”
In this passage, God holds out the promise of a new heaven and a new earth, where joy and delight will reign. The future is one of harmony with all creation; fear and destruction shall end.
Let’s wonder together: “What happens next”, in our church and our world as we travel together on this journey of faith?
