Langley Meals on Wheels' (LMOW) event, Food & Friends for 55+, provides an opportunity for seniors to connect in a welcoming environment, enjoy a delicious lunch, and hear a speaker present on a topic of interest to them. This program strives to reduce isolation, build community, and ensure seniors have access to helpful information and supports.

What to Expect:

  • Nutritious Meals: Enjoy a variety of healthy, homemade dishes prepared with care.
  • Social Interaction: Meet new people, catch up with friends, and enjoy lively conversations.
  • Activities or Presentations: Participate in fun activities and listen to guest speakers or performers.
  • Support: Access information and resources that can help enhance your quality of life.
On May 26th, the presenter will be Leslie Gaudette, the President of the Council of Senior Citizens Organizations of BC (COSCO), advocating for policies that allow seniors to remain active, independent, and fully engaged in the life of our province.

If you would like to come, please register by Thursday, May 21st at 604-533-1679 or foodandfriends@lmow.ca.

The cost for lunch is $8, which can be paid by cash when you arrive at the luncheon.

This year (2026), Food and Friends is held at our church every fourth week of the month, taking a summer break.

All Seniors Are Welcome!
