Langley Meals on Wheels' (LMOW) event, Food & Friends for 55+, provides an opportunity for seniors to connect in a welcoming environment, enjoy a delicious lunch, and hear a speaker present on a topic of interest to them. This program strives to reduce isolation, build community, and ensure seniors have access to helpful information and supports.

What to Expect:

  • Nutritious Meals: Enjoy a variety of healthy, homemade dishes prepared with care.
  • Social Interaction: Meet new people, catch up with friends, and enjoy lively conversations.
  • Activities or Presentations: Participate in fun activities and listen to guest speakers or performers.
  • Support: Access information and resources that can help enhance your quality of life.
April 28th Presenter: Leanne from ICBC.

Leanne will discuss how to assess personal driver fitness and why it is important to do so. Also, learn about:

  • The Enhanced Road Assessment (ERA)
  • Tips and refresher of the rules of the road
  • Where to access resources
  • Prioritized road safety topics such as pedestrian and intersection safety

If you would like to come, please register by April 23rd at 604-533-1679 or foodandfriends@lmow.ca.

The cost for lunch is $8, which can be paid by cash when you arrive at the luncheon.

This year (2026), Food and Friends is held at our church every fourth week of the month, taking a summer break.
