United Churches of Langley congregation is excited that a Farmers’ Market in Murrayville is taking place on the church property – on the parking lot at the historic “5 corners” in Murrayville, every Sunday 10am—2pm in July and August.
The Murrayville Summer Farmers’ Market is bringing to the neighbourhood fresh local produce, field greens, vegetables, fruits and flowers, grown by farmers from the Fraser Valley and the Okanagan Valley, as well as preserves of the summer harvest and fresh baking! Local artisans are there with their hand-made jewellery, woodworking, soaps and creams, and much more.
The farmers' markets we are hosting and other alternative ways of gathering are an important part of living our Mission of being a Thriving congregation, that is Vital to the Community, Alive as followers of Jesus the Christ, and Sustainable for the Future.
